Pokemon Go: New Johto Pokemon Released In Pokemon Go Gen 2 App

Pokemon Go: New Johto Pokemon Released In Pokemon Go Gen 2 App

Fans have little under 24hrs to find those Shiny Magikarps before it becomes a lot harder.

The Pokemon Go Water Event is a limited-time celebration launched by Niantic earlier this month which is set to end tomorrow.

The official end date and time is on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at 9pm BST, so fans have just a short window to grab whatever Pokemon they want.

One of the bonuses of the recent Water Event is that they’ve been more likely to encounter Magikarp, Squirtle, Totodile, and their Evolutions all around the world.

Additionally, when exploring areas where Water-type Pokemon more commonly appear, you’ll have a greater chance to encounter several originally discovered in the Johto region.

One of the biggest new additions has been the Shiny Magikarp, the first of a new line of collectable Pocket Monsters.

While there are currently no other Shiny Pokemon that can be grabbed in the wild right now - apart from Magikarp with its evolution Gyarados - it's expected that more will arrive soon.
