‘Pokemon Go’: Updated Egg Hatching Chart With Generation 2 banner300x250
Pokemon Go is now available on iOS and Android devices. (Nintendo)
The second generation of Pokemon has just been released, and in addition to being available to catch in the wild, the new creatures can also be hatched from eggs.
Unfortunately, the type of Pokemon that will hatch from an egg is determined the moment you pick the egg up, and so any eggs you obtained prior to the February 16th update can’t have any generation two Pokemon in them. After all, the new Pokemon weren’t even around yet when you got the egg.
Still, new eggs have the possibility of hatching brand new Pokemon. There’s no generation two specific eggs, though, so you really just have to be lucky in order to hatch something new rather than the same old creatures you’ve been getting for months.
Some of the generation two Pokemon come in two kilometer eggs, while others come in five kilometer eggs and still others come in 10 kilometer eggs. The new update isn’t even 24 hours old yet, and so players are still figuring out which Pokemon hatch from which egg.
But this morning, Pokemon Go Hub put together a list of what Pokemon we know for sure hatch from specific types of eggs, based on data collected from The Silph Road subreddit. With that data in mind, what follows is an updated list of all of the egg possibilities in the game, both generation one Pokemon and generation two Pokemon. This list will be updated as more information about the generation two Pokemon becomes available.
2 Kilometer Eggs
5 Kilometer Eggs
- Mr. Mime
- Nidoran – Female
- Nidoran – Male
10 Kilometer Eggs
In order to hatch an egg, you first need to put it in an incubator. Here’s how you do that:
- Hit the Poke Ball on the bottom center of the screen.
- Select “Pokemon.”
- Hit the “eggs” tab.”
- Pick the egg you want to hatch.
- Hit “start incubation.”
- A menu will come up showing the number of incubators you have. You start the game with one infinite incubator that never breaks, and you can also get additional incubators from Poke Stops which break after a few uses.
- The egg will now be displayed as being inside the incubator. When you have walked either 2, 5 or 10 kilometers, the egg will hatch and give you a Pokemon.
